Five Keys to Victory for KC Chiefs

Home Field Using a home field advantage is something the Chiefs have yet to do in 2011. They've only two games at Arrowhead Stadium this season, and the game against the Chargers is the first of three in a row in western Missouri. Arrowhead will be loud, packed and rowdy for Monday Night Football. Defensive Pressure The defense finally got to a quarterback against Oakland Oct. 23 with six interceptions between both of the Raiders' play callers. The Chiefs need to keep up the pressure on Philip Rivers(notes). They intercepted him twice in September. Now that the unit is playing better, Kansas City needs to increase the intensity. Linebacker Derrick Johnson had a career day against Oakland as he leads the defense. Matt Cassel Quarterback Matt Cassel has steadily improved. He finally had two decent games before tanking again in Oakland.Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys Cassel simply needs to have a great game for once. The Chargers don't give up a lot of passing yards. Once the Chiefs running backs get going it should open up the passing game. Run Early, Run Often The Chargers give up 122 rushing yards per game. Jackie Battle needs to get the running game going early and often. He had a great game against the Raiders. The Chiefs are a running team and need to continue running against San Diego. Get the Sack Train Rolling Tamba Hali had a monster year last year. Offenses aren't underestimating him this year. Hali needs to get in the backfield to bother Rivers and disrupt the passing game. What was a stellar year in 2010 hasn't continued in 2011 as of yet. The secondary had a great game against Oakland. Now the defensive line needs to get going when San Diego comes to town on Halloween.
